Research progress of circRNA in pathological myocardial hypertrophy
Circular RNA(circRNA)is an endogenous non-coding RNA with a closed circular structure formed by covalent bonds, which can adsorb microRNA,regulate gene expression, regulate protein production, and act as biomarkers.Pathological myocardial hypertrophy is caused by myocardial infarction, mechanical stimulation, hormones, cytokines, growth factors, and pressure overload. Its pathogenesis is complex and regulated by a variety of cell signals, including the emerging circRNA and other non-coding RNAs.The up-regulation or down-regulation of certain circRNAs can promote or inhibit pathological myocardial hypertrophy, and its mode of action mainly focuses on circRNAs acting as endogenous sponge adsorption target genes of miRNAs,and then affecting signaling pathway proteins related to myocardial hypertrophy. This article aims to review the biological research of circRNA,the formation mechanism of pathological myocardial hypertrophy, and the new research progress of circRNA in pathological myocardial hypertrophy.
