Baicalin inhibits the proliferation and invasion of prostate cancer cell LNCaP by up-regulating miR-145-5p
Objective To explore the effect and mechanism of baicalin on the proliferation and invasion of prostate cancer cell line LNCaP.Methods Prostate cancer LNCaP cells were divided into control group,baicalin group,and baicalin+si-miR-145-5p group.The expression of miR-145-5p in each group of cells was detected by qRT-PCR,and the proliferation and invasion abilities of the cells were measured by MTT and Transwell assay.Results Compared with the control group,the ability of proliferation and invasion of LNCaP cells in the baicalin group were decreased(P＜0.05),and the expression of miR-145-5p in the cells was increased(P＜0.05).Compared with baicalin+miR-NC group,the ability of proliferation and invasion of LNCaP cells in baicalin+si-miR-145-5p group were increased(P＜0.05),and the expression of miR-145-5p in cells was decreased(P＜0.05).Conclusion Baicalin can inhibit the proliferation and invasion of prostate cancer LNCaP cells by up-regulating the expression of miR-145-5p.
