Promoting international technological innovation cooperation through international scientific and technological organizations:a case study of Jiangsu Industrial Technology Research Institute
The evolving complexity of global science and technology governance underscores the vital role of international scientific and technological organizations to facilitate global innovation cooperation.This paper focuses on the collaborative dynamics between the Jiangsu Industrial Technology Research Institute(JITRI)and the World Association of Industrial and Technological Research Organizations(WAITRO),offering insights into how International scientific and technological organizations can amplify China's engagement in global scientific governance.Through an analysis of WAITRO's innovation ecosystem and its contribution to fostering international scientific and technological cooperation,alongside a detailed account of JITRI's strategic initiatives to enhance international collaboration,this study delineates the impactful outcomes of leveraging such platforms for global innovation efforts.Drawing from the case study,the research articulates policy recommendations designed to deepen the integration of China's scientific and technological endeavors with global organizational frameworks.Key suggestions include establishing information sharing mechanisms,promoting resource integration,exploring comprehensive participation methods in international scientific and technological organizations,and innovating cooperation models with them.These approaches aim to streamline China's integration into the global innovation network,encouraging a collaborative stance towards addressing technological challenges and advancing sustainable development goals.This research not only provides a theoretical framework for enriching China's cooperation with International scientific and technological organizations but also serves as a practical guide to bolstering China's influential role in the sphere of global science and technology governance.
