Popular science films and television has the function of disseminating scientific knowledge and enhancing scientific literacy,and is an important carrier of science popularization in China.Based on CiteSpace 6.1.R3 software,the literature of the last twenty years(January 2004 to December 2023)included in CNKI was visualized and analyzed.The analysis results show that the research in the field of popular science films and television in China mainly focuses on five major aspects,including communication research,creation research,genre research,ontology research and comparative research,among which popularization of science,science communication,and creation are the hot spots of research.The development trend of research in the field of popular science films and television in China is as follows:science communication research continues to grow and go to a deeper level;new technology gives rise to a variety of net-generated forms of popular science films and television research;and the research on popular science films and videos involving scientists will continue to increase.
