The number and development quality of engineering societies are of great significance to the construction of a strong engineering country.There are various types of engineering associations,including specialized associations established based on industrial development,as well as comprehensive associations serving regional development and certain goals.From the perspective of the development experience of engineering associations in science and technology powerhouses,the diversity of engineering association development is generally maintained,and the role of engineering associations in cultivating engineering talents and leading social values is highly valued.Comparing the development path of engineering associations of foreign countries,the types and functions of engineering associations are the shortcomings of China,which are need to be strengthened in terms of improved,which can be improved by diversity of types,richness of functions,and prominence of engineers as the main body.
