CLONING AND EXPRESSION ANALYSIS OF ODORANT RECEPTOR GENE (OR21A) IN AEDES ALBOPICTUS
Sequence of the odorant receptor gene (OR21a) of Aedes albopictus were identified by using degenerate primers.Expression of OR21a mRNA was investigated by quantitative Real-Time RCR in the heads of adult male, interrupt sucking female, engorged and non-feeding adult female.Levels of OR21 a mRNA were normalized to mRNA encoding β-action.The results showed that OR21 a were differentially expressed in the heads of adult male,feeding-interrupted female, engorged and non-feeding adult female. The expression level of non-feeding adult female,feeding-interrupted female, adult male and engorged adult female was reduced successively. The expression level of OR21a changed for need.Maybe the OR21a gene has relationship with the behavior of blood feeding.
