Promoting the modernization of education for the elderly is the essential requirement of comprehensively promoting the modernization of Chinese style,an important measure to implement the national strategy of actively coping with population aging,and an appropriate meaning to promote the integration of the concept of active aging and healthy aging into economic and social development.This paper proposes the strategic objectives,basic principles,and development orientation of standardization,e-qualization,humanization,specialization,digitalization,and internationalization for the modernization of China's education for the elderly in the next five years,and then makes a comprehensive and systematic analysis of the strategic priorities and tasks of the modernization of education for the elderly in China from six aspects:innovating the system and mechanism of education for the elderly,building a new pattern of education for the elderly,expanding the supply of education resources for the elderly,impro-ving the connotation and quality of education for the elderly,exploring the innovation of education mode for the elderly,and building an integrated management platform for the development of education for the elderly.
