Rural"hollowing"governance is an important measure for China to eliminate the shortcomings of rural development,comprehensively promote rural revitalization,and accelerate the modernization of agriculture and rural areas.In this process,continuing education should be"promising"and"capable".Based on the theory of livelihood capital,a theoretical analysis framework is constructed to promote rural"hollowing"governance through continuing education.Combined with specific practices of rural revitalization,a multi-case comparative study is conducted on Gangdi Village in Hebei Province,Lujia Village in Zhe-jiang Province,Yuanjia Village in Shanxi Province,and Shibadong Village in Hunan Province.The research results show that livelihood capital is a fundamental element for the survival and development of farmers,reflecting different resource endowments,and different types of livelihood capital play different roles in rural"hollowing"governance.In order to promote rural"hollo-wing"governance through continuing education,achieve better livelihood outcomes,and achieve rural revitalization,we should pay attention to the role of continuing education,improve the level of human capital,implement differentiated continuing educa-tion,and emphasize the combination effect of livelihood capital.
