A Study on the Influencing Factors and Action Path of Teaching Commitment for Normal Students Involved in China Teaching-Assisting Program——An Analysis Based on Grounded Theory
Teaching commitment means that teachers have a strong sense of belonging and high loyalty to the teaching and research work, which di-rectly affects their professional development and the quality of school personnel training.A semi-structured interview was conducted among 17 normal students who participated in China Teaching-Assisting Program and a model of the influencing factors and action path of their teaching commitment was constructed based on grounded theory. It is found that those students'teaching commitment contains the following three aspects:commitment to students, commitment to teaching work and commitment to teaching profession.Additionally, the external educational environment composed of the work requirements and resources of the teaching-assisting program and the internal self-examination environment consisting of the self-cognition and motivation for internship jointly affect their teaching commitment. Thus,it is necessary to improve the normal students'teaching commitment by clarif-ying the internship requirements, continuously providing teaching resources, and grasping the internal drive triggered by key events.
