Three Views Concerning Historical Facts of Northeast Jiangxi Soviet Area
There have been three different views concerning the history of the Communist Party of China in Dongxiang County of the Northeast Jiangxi Soviet area.It was believed that during the Agrarian Revolutionary War,the CPC estab-lished the Dongxiang County Committee of Jiangxi Province and Shu Tong once served as the secretary of the the Dongxiang County CPC Committee. It was also believed that a temporary Soviet government was once established in Dongxiang County in 1932 under the guidance of Shao Shiping and Fang Zhichun;and there was still another belief that the 10th Army of the Red Army was once stationed in Dongxiang County in 1933.However,after a detailed examination of the existing files and documents from that period,it has been found out that none of these three widely circulated viewpoints can be confirmed.First, during the Great Revolution and the Agrarian Revolutionary War,a district rather than a county CPC Party Committee was set up in Dongxiang County of Jiangxi Province, and therefore Shu Tong could not have been secretary of the Dongxiang County CPC Committee.Second,it was the Soviet government of Dongxiang District and the Soviet government of Henan County, rather than a temporary Soviet government of Dongxiang County, that were established in 1932 under the guidance of Shao Shiping and Fang Zhichun. And third, the 10th Army of the Red Army was never stationed in Dongxiang, but both the 3rd Army and the 11th Army of the Red Army were stationed in Dongxiang in 1933.
