Effects of diapause time on nutritional components and metabolic enzymes activities in Clanis bilineata tsingtauica larvae
To clarify the effects of diapause time on Clanis bilineata tsingtauica larvae, the contents of nutrients(in-cluding protein, amino acids, and fatty acids)and the activities of intestinal metabolic enzymes in the larvae were meas-ured.The results showed that the protein content in diapause larvae was significantly higher than that in control, and reached the highest value in the late diapause period(150 d).The contents of 18 amino acids at 150 days of diapause were significantly higher than those of the control.Compared with the control, the content of linoleic acid in the larvae of Clanis bilineata tsingtauica decreased by 0.030 percentage points(P<0.05)on the 60th day of diapause. At 30 d,90 d,120 d and 150 d of diapause, the content of linolenic acid in the larvae was 0.140 percentage points,0.060 percentage points,0.060 percentage points and 0.080 percentage points higher than that of the control(P<0.05).The ac-tivities of alkaline phosphatase and hexokinase in the intes-tine of the larvae at 30 days of diapause were significantly lower than those of the control, and reached the highest value at 120 days of diapause. The activities of trehalase and pyruvate kinase reached the highest value at 90 days of dia-pause.The activity of sorbitol dehydrogenase was the highest at 120 days of diapause, which was 18.37%higher than that of the control(P<0.05).In summary, the nutritional value of the diapause larvae was improved, and the activity of metabolic enzymes fluctuated significantly.
