Factor analysis and evaluation system construction of fruit quality traits of sponge gourd
The 28 indexes related to fruit quality traits of 203 sponge gourd germplasm resources were deter-mined,and the data processing and analysis were carried out by the methods of coefficient of variation analysis,corre-lation analysis,factor analysis and cluster analysis,and a comprehensive evaluation model of sponge gourd fruit quali-ty was established.According to the comprehensive score combined with the two-dimensional ranking map,high-quali-ty sponge gourd germplasm resources were screened and obtained.The results showed that the coefficients of variation for 28 fruit quality traits in 203 sponge gourd germplasm resources ranged from 12.80%to 63.12%,and the trait with largest coefficient of variation was NH3 content,followed by arginine content.The trait with smallest coefficient of variation was fruit density,fol-lowed by crude protein content.Seven common factors were comprehensively selected from 28 quality traits by factor analysis,and the cumulative variance contribution rate was 77.56%,among which the first and second common factors were 31.20%and 13.55%,respectively.Based on the correlation analysis and cluster analysis,the quality traits were simplified into six representative indexes,including fruit length,fruit transverse diameter,soluable solids content,cellulose content,arginine content and ascorbic acid content.Moreover,the fruit quality of 203 sponge gourd germplasm resources was comprehensively evaluated and scored.In this study,a comprehensive evaluation model of sponge gourd fruit quality was established,which provided technical support for screening new sponge gourd varieties or combinations with high-quality,and laid an important foundation for promoting the high-quality development in sponge gourd industry.
