Study on the characteristics of sucrose and starch accumulation in grains of different types wheat cultivars
Different types wheat cultivars were used for investigating sucrose, total soluble sugar and starch accumula-tion during grain filling. Results showed that, among the different gluten types of wheat cultivars. The contents of sucro-se and total soluble sugar were in a descending order of Wxll(a Waxy cultivar), Ningmai9 (a weak-gluten cultivar), Huaimail8 (a medium-gluten cultivar), Zhongyou9507(a strong-gluten cultivar) and the order of starch and its compo-nents accumulation were expressed as Zhongyou9507> Huaimail8> Ningmai9> Wxll.
