Identification and bioinformatics analysis of the NRAMP gene family in buckwheat
In order to study the structure and function of NRAMP(natural resistance associated macrophage protein)family members in buckwheat, the NRAMP family genes of buckwheat were screened and identified by bioinformatics methods from the Buckwheat Genome DataBase(BGDB),and then the protein physicochemical properties, gene struc-tures,evolutionary relationship, conserved domains, conserved motifs, subcellular localizations, phosphorylation sites, and the secondary and tertiary structures were analyzed. The results showed that a total of 10 NRAMP genes were identi-fied from the buckwheat genome. The number of amino acids in most members of the buckwheat NRAMP family proteins ranged from 361 to 605,and the number of transmembrane structures ranged from 4 to 12,and the subcellular localization was located on the cell membrane, except for FeNRAMPI0,which was located on the vacuolar membrane. The closer the evolutionary relationship between NRAMP family, the more similar the gene structures and conserved motifs were. The number of transmembrane structures of each member varied.Except for the FeNRAMP9 protein, which did not contain a Thr phosphorylation site, all FeNRAMP proteins contained Ser,Thr and Tyr phosphorylation sites. The main secondary structure of most NRAMP proteins of buckwheat were α-helix.The analysis of promoter elements showed that most of the NRAMP gene promoters of buckwheat contained elements involved in gene transcription, light response, hormone re-sponse and so on.
