LGALS1 promotes angiogenesis of gastric cancer through PI3K/Akt signaling pathway
To investigate the mechanism of lectin galactoside-binding soluble 1(LGALS1)gene in the angiogenesis of gastric cancer. The effects of LGALS1 on prognosis and angiogenesis in gastric cancer were analyzed by bioinformatics and immunohistochemistry.Different expression LGALS1 gastric cancer cell lines were constructed. The mechanism of LGALS1 in gastric cancer angiogenesis was studied by Transwell, tubule formation,qRT-PCR and Western blot. The re-sults showed that the expression of LGALS1 was directly proportional to the overall survival of gastric cancer patients. There was a correlation between the PI3K/Akt pathway and LGALS1 gene in the angiogenesis pathway. The expression of LGALS1 in gastric cancer was positively correlated with the expression of CD31.The expression of LGALS1 in gastric cancer cells significantly promoted the proliferation and duct formation of endothelial cells. These promoted the migration of endothelial cells by regulating the expression of p-Akt.In conclusion,LGALS1 gene can promote angiogenesis and tumor progression of gastric cancer, which may be related to the activation of PI3K/Akt signaling pathway.
