Effects of phosphorus application on grain filling dynamics,protein components and water use efficiency in wheat under different dry years
In order to cope with the problem of rainfall reduction in Huang-Huai wheat area in recent years,a field ex-periment was carried out in Zhumadian agricultural science experimental station for two consecutive years from 2020 to 2022.The effects of different phosphorus fertilizer application rates(90,120,150 kg·hm-2)on grain filling dynamics,protein components and water use efficiency of wheat were studied to explore the suitable application of phosphorus fertil-izer in wheat under different drought years.The results showed that with the increase of phosphorus fertilizer application rate,the water consumption and water use efficiency of wheat increased in different drought years,and the dry matter,1000-grain weight and grain filling rate within 0-14 days after anthesis were significantly improved.The increase of phosphate fertilizer application rate also led to the decrease of soil water storage at wheat harvest and the decrease of grain filling rate within 28-35 days after anthesis.In addition,increasing the application amount of phosphate fertilizer can in-crease the 1000-grain weight and spike number,promote the coordination of yield components,and thus increase the grain yield.With the increase of phosphate fertilizer application rate,the protein content of wheat grain increased significantly,including the content of albumin,globulin,gliadin,glutelin and the ratio of glutelin to glutelin.Under the condition of dry year,the phosphorus application rate of 150 kg·hm-2 showed better effect than that of 120 kg·hm-2.In general,the application of phosphorus fertilizer in dry years is helpful for wheat to absorb deep soil moisture,enhance the drought resistance of wheat during the whole growth period,and achieve the goal of promoting water with phosphorus.
