The effect of different straw treatment modes on furrow cultivation of Stropharia rugosoannulata Farl.ex Murrill
To discuss rice straw pre-treatment process that is the most appropriate for furrow cultivation of Stropharia rugosoannulata Farl.ex Murrill.Rice straws were used as raw material and soaked, fermented in different concentrations of CaO solution, which were used to cultivate S.rugosoannulata Farl.ex Murrill onfurrow. The straws became finely ground, their surface was rough, their edges were broken, and the tissue structure in them was exposed and collapsed af-ter they were soaked in CaO and fermented for treatment. After the straws were soaked in 2.5%CaO and fermented, the cellulose, hemicellulose, and lignin content was 37.18%,25.30%,and 38.00%lower than that in straws treated with water, respectively. The straw eventually changed into lumps, lost its entire structure, collapse in a big area, and had fragments and deep grooves as S.rugosoannulata Farl.ex Murrill grows and develops. The cellulose, hemicellulose, and lignin content in the straw obviously reduced. After they were soaked in 2.5%CaO and fermented, the straws were used as raw materials for cultivating. The S.rugosoannulata Farl.ex Murrill total yield and per unit yield were 42.73%and 42.81%higher than those soaked in water, respectively.Consequently, soaking rice straw in 2.5%CaO with a low con-centration and low price forfermentation is a favorable pre-treatment process for furrow cultivation of S.rugosoannulata Farl.ex Murrill.
