The Narrative System of Fairness and Justice in Chinese-Style Modernization
Chinese-style modernization is regulated,guided and evaluated by the normative system of fairness and justice,and regards fairness and justice as basic value principles.It contains an embedded narrative system of fairness and justice.Based on reflection on contradictions like polarization,division and confrontation in Western-style modernization,Chinese-style modernization consciously takes fairness and justice as its value orientation,adding value narratives like shared prosperity for all the people,economic and social equality,and distributive justice to modernization.At the macro level,Chinese-style modernization has constructed two types of fairness and justice—shared prosperity and shared growth,to transcend ills of Western-style modernization like class exploitation and colonial plunder.The narrative of fairness and justice in Chinese-style modernization does not take a pure"philosophical logic"or abstract"explanatory logic",but adopts a"practical logic"to solve real-world problems of fairness and justice by promoting high-quality economic development,institutional improvement,global governance reform,and etc.By enriching the essential connotations of modernization and reshaping the conceptual system of human modernization,Chinese-style modernization's narrative of fairness and justice has endowed modernization with new civilizational implications.
