Mutual Learning Among Civilizations:Constructing Inter-identity for International Communication
The exchange and mutual learning among civilizations is a basic concept for constructing a new order in international communication.Drawing from the principle of intersubjectivity such as recognition and resonance in Western Marxist theory, and organically combining them with Chinese wisdom and practices,we can further understand and interpret how civilizations communicate and learn from each other. We propose the concept of"inter-identity"more suitable to the current context of international communication as the basis for establishing resonant relations between countries through the exchange and mutual learning among civilizations."Inter-identity"can develop a relationship between us and them based on equality and negotiation, achieve identification through the recognition of differences, and establish resonant relations on this basis, allowing various civilizations and cultures to open up and move closer to each other. This way, they can find connections between cultures and confirm cultural consensus, ultimately reaching a semi-controlled and good relationship. The construction process from intersubjectivity to inter-identity is the process of establishing relations from recognition to resonance between countries. This truly embodies the concept of exchange and mutual learning among civilizations and the goal of a community with a shared future for mankind, providing a possible path for constructing an autonomous knowledge system for international communication.
