Research progress of protective effect of irisin in acute myocardial infarction
Irisin is a hormone-like polypeptide secreted by the muscle tissue, which is generated after hydrolysis of fibronectin type Ⅲ domain-containing protein 5 by proteolytic enzymes, and released into the peripheral circulation.Irisin plays a potentially protective role in acute myocardial infarction(AMI).This article summarizes the present research progress of the protective effects of irisin in AMI mainly from the following aspects:reducing oxidative stress response, improving mitochondrial function, inhibiting myocardial apoptosis, inhibiting inflammatory response, improving microcirculation,in order to provide valuable references for the diagnosis and treatment of AMI.
