Reshaping Effects of Multinational Corporations'Carbon Neutrality Action on the Global Industrial and Supply Chains
With countries proposing carbon standards and carbon neutrality goals, multinational corporations have also carried out lower-carbon transformation. As core companies in the global supply chain and engaged in cross-border produc-tion and operation, their lower-carbon measures have both opportunities and challenges for reshaping the global industrial chain supply chain. They are expected to promote lower-carbon practice, form green industries, and drive green invest-ment.At the same time, there are a number of hindrances, such as the difficulties in coordination and implementation, barriers in cutting-edge lower-carbon technology, the threats of global supply chains'safety, and undermining of globaliza-tion resulting from games between countries.Multinational corporations should focus on mobilizing cooperation between up-stream and downstream enterprises in the industrial chain to reduce carbon emissions, actively developing low-carbon tech-nologies and green industries, promoting the formation of a unified carbon footprint calculation caliber in the supply chain.
