Current Status and Development Path of College English Teachers' Educating Abilities from the Perspective of Ideological and Political Education in the Curriculum
This study,grounded in the perspective of ideological and political education in the curriculum,begins by analyzing the current status of college English teachers in terms of their educational philosophy,understanding of ideological and political education in the curriculum,manifestation of character education abilities,and teaching effectiveness.The paper reflects on and discusses the existing issues in these aspects.Subsequently,the study explores the diverse,differential,and potential factors that influence the development of character education abilities among college English teachers.Finally,specific pathways to promote the development of character education abilities among college English teachers are proposed within the framework of ideological and political education in the curriculum.These pathways include enhancing teachers'personal qualities,optimizing the educational environment,strengthening teacher training and development,reforming the education and teaching evaluation system,and establishing incentive mechanisms and safeguard measures.
