Opportunities and Challenges of Applying Artificial Intelligence in Higher Education:A Case Study of ChatGPT
Artificial intelligence is an important strategic support for promoting the transformation of higher education,and ChatGPT,as a catalyst for this transformation,has enormous potential for application.This article briefly introduces the core technology of ChatGPT,and looks forward to new opportunities for its application in higher education from three aspects:personalized learning,intelligent evaluation,and automated management.It also points out that the ChatGPT application itself has risks and challenges such as academic misconduct,ethical and moral issues,information security issues,unfairness issues,weakened interpersonal interaction issues,and technical limitations.Government departments,higher education institutions,and university teachers and students should closely monitor the development trend of artificial intelligence,take appropriate measures for scientific application,and promote the digital transformation of higher education.
