Development of Rock Breaking Simulation Testing Machine Based on LabVIEW
In order to investigate the rock-breaking characteristics of TBM cutters under different environmental conditions,a small rock-breaking simulation testing machine is designed and developed in this paper. The testing machine is designed based on modular design methodology and is mainly composed of three parts:the base body and power execution module, the data acquisition module, and the medium flow and temperature control module. The base body and power execution module mainly includes the base body of the testing machine, the loading spindle and related fixtures, which are used to support the components of the testing machine and provide power. The data acquisition module based on LabVIEW(the force signal monitoring and analysis system)can display and store the normal force, rolling force, lateral force, and friction coefficient data of the cutter sample in real time during the testing process. The medium flow and temperature control module is mainly composed of a precise peristaltic pump with controllable flow,a temperature controller, and a heating device, which are used to introduce the medium solution and maintain the medium temperature during the experiment. The operating parameters of the testing machine allows for adjustable parameters such as the installation radius, medium environment, normal force, rotating angular, velocity and duration of the cutter. The cutter/marble rolling friction and wear test results under two normal loads at 25℃in deionized water show that the testing machine can conduct rock-breaking simulation tests of TBM cutters under the medium environments with different temperature.
