Anisotropic and Tension-Compression Asymmetric Yield Behavior of 7075 Aluminum Alloy Sheet for Vehicles
Uniaxial tensile and uniaxial compression under different loading directions(angle with rolling direction of 0°,15°,30°,45°,60°,75°,90°)and hydraulic expansion tests were carried out on annealed 7075 aluminum alloy sheet. The yield behavior was studied. The Yld2004-18p anisotropic yield function was modified by coupling hydrostatic pressure term, and the yield strength of aluminum alloy sheet was predicated by using the modified function. The predicted results were compared with the experimental results. The results show that the yield strength of the test alloy sheet was different under different loading directions or loading modes. The alloy sheet had significant anisotropic and tension-compression asymmetric yield behavior. The total relative error between the yield strength predicted by the modified asymmetric and anisotropic yield function and the test value was only 0.000 5,indicating that the modified function could accurately describe the anisotropic and tension-compression asymmetric yield behavior.
