Methods of Encouraging Individuals to Proactively Choose Vocational Education:an Analysis Based on Signal Theory
The proactive choice of vocational education by individuals is an important symbol of building a skilled society.The signal theory believes that the main reason why individuals are unwilling to proactively choose vocational education is that the advantage signals emitted by employers fail to be transmitted to individu-als via the transmission mechanism.Under normal circumstances,the signals professional skill signals and tech-nical knowledge abilities,which serve as advantageous signals,are transmitted to individuals through education-al and social transmission mechanisms,thereby promoting individuals to actively choose vocational education.Due to the imperfect system of vocational enlightenment education,unclear signals from employers,and insuffi-cient publicity of advantage signals by the mass media,the transmission mechanism of these above-mentioned advantageous signals has been blocked.In this regard,it is necessary to start by improving the education system of vocational enlightenment and the information mechanism of the labor market,and creating a favorable public opinion environment for the transmission of advantageous signals,so as to break down the blocking factors of the transmission mechanism of favorable signals.
