Measurement of the Coupling and Coordination Level Between Vocational Education and Industrial Development from the Perspective of New Quality Productive Forces
The coupling and coordinating between vocational education and industrial development is a key link in promoting the modernization of Chinese style vocational education,and it is also an effective carrier and important focus for developing new quality productive forces.On the basis of a brief description of the coupling and coordination mechanism between vocational education and industrial development,this paper uses panel da-ta from 30 provincial-level administrative agencies in China from year 2015 to 2021 to measure the coupling and coordination level,and explores the driving factors.Research has found that the comprehensive evaluation value of higher vocational education in China has always been lower than the comprehensive evaluation value of indus-trial development,and the development of vocational education has long lagged behind industrial demand;the coordination degree of industry education coupling has decreased from 0.622 in 2015 to 0.532 in 2021,and has always been in a transitional stage at a medium level,and has not yet achieved the same frequency resonance;the coupling coordination level of industry and education displays an obvious spatial agglomeration and hetero-geneity,showing a gradient development pattern of decreasing from the southeast coast to the western inland;the grey correlation degree between the indicators of industrial structure optimization and the scale and resource oc-cupancy of vocational education is stable at 0.65 or above,and the high correlation between the two is a key fac-tor restricting the coordination of industry-education coupling.Based on this,further policy recommendations are proposed:strengthening the endogenous driving force of higher vocational education,to benchmark new quality productivity and construct a new development framework;focusing on the key elements of vocational ed-ucation and industrial development,to accurately shape a new format of industry education integration that pro-motes the development of new quality productive forces;building a differentiated and tiered development spatial ecological layout,to empower regional dislocation and characteristic development of new quality productive forces.
