An Evaluation of Chemical Components of Tobacco from the Main Aromatic Flue-cured Tobacco Producing Areas
In order to explore the chemical composition quality of the tobacco leaves from the main aro-matic flue-cured tobacco areas ,the chemical components of tobacco in 9 aromatic flue-cured tobacco produ-cing areas with 3 grades(X2F,C3F,B2F) were analyzed, and its usability was evaluated by using fuzzy mathe-matics.The results showed that:there were significant difference among different grades of tobacco leaves from the main aromatic flue-cured tobacco growing areas in the chemical components of total sugar ,reducing sugar , total nitrogen ,nicotine ,potassium ,sugar/nicotine and nitrogen/nicotine ,there were no significant differences in chlorine and K/Cl;among different aromatic flue-cured production areas , total sugar and reducing sugar had no significant differences;the contents of nicotine ,total nitrogen and chlorine of the tobacco leaves from Henan areas were significantly higher than those from the South areas ,chlorine,sugar/nicotine and K/Cl contents of the tobacco leaves from Henan areas were significantly lower than those from the South areas .The comprehen-sive evaluation showed that the aromatic flue-cured tobacco availability index was 0.62,on the whole at the middle level. The availability indexes of B 2F and C3F were similar among grade ,but more than that of X 2F.A-mong the different areas ,the availability index of the tobacco leaves from Henan areas was higher than that of the tobacco leaves from the South areas .
