The Theoretical Logic,Realistic Requirements and Practical Pathways of Coordinated Development of Material and Spiritual Civilization in the Process of Chinese-style Modernization
The coordination of material and spiritual civilization is a fundamental characteristic and proper meaning of Chinese-style modernization,with both aspects promoting each other and providing mutual empowerment.Theoretically,this coordination is derived from the dialectical unity of material production and spiritual production in Marxist historical materialism,the theories of scientific social-ism,the idea of full and free development of every individual,and the stance of the CPC on the coor-dinated development of"two civilizations".In terms of the realistic requirements of the new era,the coordination of material and spiritual civilization is an inevitable requirement for the progress of hu-man civilization,an inherent requirement for solidly promoting common prosperity for all the people,an objective requirement for addressing the principal contradiction facing Chinese society,and a real-istic need for fostering a new generation of full development.In the new era,we should aim to con-struct modern Chinese civilization,anchor our efforts in addressing the principal contradiction facing Chinese society,focus on promoting common prosperity,lead with the promotion of core socialist val-ues,and systematically explore pathways for the coordinated development of material and spiritual civilization.
