What is the modernization of harmonious coexistence between man and nature?In August 2023,scholars from all over the world with different skin colors,disciplinary backgrounds and ages entered Jinyun,a small mountainous county in southern China with rich ecology.This time,they no longer use"the white marble sculpture of Athena"as part of the background panel,no longer use environmental issues as a tool to promote hegemonic politics,but through the cross-cultural dialogue between people,people and the field,and field to field,they examine Chinese-style modernization in the context of the global southern perspective,while identifying the limits of Western modern imagi-nation.Under the superposition of multiple perspectives such as history,politics and culture,the infi-nite possibilities of sustainable modernization development in third world countries are opened up.This process of recognition and openness also contains the future of communication,which provides a new theoretical vision and practical support for international communication,an academic field that used to crawl in the discourse framework of civilization hierarchy theory.
