The Preliminary Analysis Spring Habitat Character of China Bamboo-Rat in Yuanbaoshan Nature Reserve Guangxi
Habitat characteristics of the China Bamboo-rat (R. Sinehsis) were investigated in Yuanbaoshan nature reserve Guangxi. Thirteen ecological factors (canopy density; water distance; slope; shelter of wind; aspect; slope position; elevation; tree density; shrub density; distance of tree; distance of Shrub; distance to human disturbance; food abundant) were recorded in each of 10 m×10 m plots of 54 samples. Utilized frequency analysis and Principle Component Analysis methods were used to analyze our data. The results indicated that the habitat of China Bamboo-rat shared the following characteristics: habitat with well canopy density, far away to water (more than 500 m), slope among 20 degree to 40 degree, well shelter of wind, aspect toward east or south, Slope position with uphill or middle place; well food richness; human disturbance distance more than 1000m, elevation more than 1 800 m, tree density is less than 30, shrub density about 1000-5000, Distance to tree about 2-5 m, distance to shrubs less than 0.1 m. There were five main factors shelter factor; water factor; geography factor; human disturbance factor and food richness factor affecting the habitat character of China Bamboo-rat in spring.
