Educational cognitive diagnosis determines which group an examinees is belonged to according to the esti-mated his/her knowledge states based on the responses on a test.After determining the attributes and their hierarchi-cal relationship,the set of their knowledge states is unique,but there is no consensus on this.For example,some soft-ware considers that the same attribute hierarchy relationship can correspond to two different sets of knowledge states.Some studies only give the proper subset of the knowledge state set of attributes and their hierarchical relationships.In view of these situations,the theory and application are analyzed,and some suggestions for correction are given.
