Computerized adaptive testing(CAT)can improve test accuracy by selecting items according to the re-sponses so far of each examinee.However,high accuracy is also accompanied by high exposure risk,which may lead to item leakage,reduce test efficiency and endanger test security.Stratification item exposure control strategy,as one of the methods of item exposure control,is a hot spot in the field of exposure control research in recent years.At the same time,the collection of response time(RT)is a major advantage of CAT,and RT is of great value to the imple-mentation of tests.The synthesis of traditional and combined RT tiered strategies are presented and the current prob-lems and future research directions are discussed in the application of tiered strategies to CAT item exposure con-trol.
