Torque Characteristic Analysis of Solid Disk Magnetic Coupler
In order to accurately calculate the output torque of the magnetic coupling,the solid disk magnetic coupler composed of six pole pairs permanent magnet spacing arrangement is studied.In this article,the equivalent magnetic circuit method is used for calculations.The new equivalent magnetic circuit model is proposed to consider the magnetic field generated by the joint action of adjacent eddy currents.Based on the skin effect,the output torque calculation formula of the magnetic coupler is derived.The magnetic flux density and eddy current distribution in the copper conductor disk are simulated by 3-D finite element analysis,the variation of the output torque with the difference of air gap and the speed during stable operation is obtained.The torque was calculated using the method proposed and was compared with those obtained by the 3-D finite element method and experiment,respectively,which verifies the accuracy of the toque formula.The analysis model proposed provides a more accurate calculation method for the torque calculation of the magnetic coupling.
