Torque Analysis of Asynchronous Magnetic Coupler Based on Multiple Electromagnetic Coupling
To improve the calculation accuracy of electromagnetic torque of eddy-current magnetic couplers with 9 pairs of permanent magnets, the magnetic equivalent circuit(MEC)method based on the multiple electromagnetic coupling is established. The Ampere's loop law is applied to analyze the influence of the eddy current reaction magnetic flux on the initial magnetic flux and the influence of the coupled magnetic flux on the eddy current. The multiple electromagnetic coupling is carried out until the accuracy requirements are met and the expressions of electromagnetic torque are obtained. The 3-D effects are also taken into account to adjust the model. The uncoupled value of electromagnetic torque is compared with the value after multiple coupling. Then the electromagnetic torque and mechanical characteristic curves of the magnetic coupler are obtained by finite element simulation software.Lastly, the magnetic drive experimental platform is built to measure the electromagnetic torque. The experimental results are in good agreement with the results of theoretical calculation and the simulation analysis, which shows that the formula of torque has high accuracy and can be used as a reference for further research on the transmission characteristics of eddy-current magnetic couplers.
