Simulation Study on Elastic Modulus Equivalent and Bending Condition of Cable Conductor of Shearer
The shearer cable provides power and control the signals for the shearer, and its working performance and service life are particularly important for the efficiency of coal mining and the safe operation of the underground power supply system. In order to analyze the bending force and fatigue life of the mobile flexible cable of the shearer, the equivalent elastic modulus of the cable conductor is obtained using differential geometry and material mechanics theory based on the tensile test of the strand,so as to simplify the complex strand structure of the cable conductor into an equal-section cylinder. The finite element model of the cable bending is constructed and the bending simulation and fatigue life analysis are carried out.The results show that the equivalent elastic moduli of the power core and ground core conductors of this type of cable are approximately 16.520 GPa and 18.230 GPa,respectively. The test value of the elastic modulus of the control core conductor strands is 24.432 GPa,and the equivalent elastic modulus gradually increases with the increase of the conductor stranded diameter ratio. When the bending radius of the cable is 6 times of its diameter, the bending stress values of the power core, ground core and control core conductor are 158.08 GPa,153.49 GPa and 168.31 GPa,respectively. The conductor stress gradually decreases from the bending constraint part to both ends. The fatigue lives of the power core, ground core and control core conductor are 5.99 × 104,6.475 × 104 and 5.152 × 104,respectively.And the fatigue life distribution trend is consistent with the stress distribution.
