Development and Performance Analysis of a New Quantitative Degasser
Improving the degassing efficiency of degassers is important to the accuracy and timeliness of gas logging technical analysis.Based on the principle of rotary centrifugal separation,a new type of quantitative degasser is proposed. The flow field in the equipment is numerically simulated by CFD fluid analysis software, and the influence of the working parameters, such as the cone speed and vacuum degree,on the degassing efficiency is quantitatively analyzed. The simulation results show that the main influencing factor of degassing efficiency is the pressure difference caused by the centrifugal force difference between the gas and liquid phases. With the increase of the speed and vacuum degree, the degassing efficiency is constantly improved. The influence of vacuum degree on the degassing efficiency is more significant than that of speed. In addition, the field comparison experiment of the degassing efficiency is conducted. The experimental results show that the degassing efficiency of the new quantitative degasser is approximately 4~9 times that of the electric degasser under the actual drilling conditions.
