This study explores the application of Kansei engineering in the design of children's products to meet children's developmental characteristics and emotional needs.A framework is built for children's product design based on Kansei engineering, taking children's desk lamp design as an example.Based on literature search, expert evaluation, interviews and other research methods, the typical samples of children's desk lamps and sensibility vocabularies are identified. The relevant values of the sensibility vocabularies of the typical samples are obtained using the semantic differential method and Lajda's criterion, and a principal component analysis is conducted. The"modelling factor"is obtained as the key element of the design of children's desk lamps. The key elements of design are"modelling factor","interaction factor"and"feature factor".The designed children's desk lamp using this method meets the users'needs and can effectively support the design practice of children's products, providing a reference for the design of children's products.
