Due to the unclear reasons for loosening of threaded connection under the action of transverse vibration or impact, there are some misconceptions in the design, selection, and anti-loosening performance testing of threaded connection anti-loosening structures, etc. In order to clarify these reasons,SOLIDWORKS software is used to conduct finite element simulation and analyze the transverse vibration tests of ordinary threaded connection,anti-loosening structures of double nut anti-loosening and new anti-loosening technologies Ⅰ and Ⅱ using the M16 right-handed threaded connection models as an example.Theoretical analysis is conducted on the anti-loosening structures of nylon lock nut anti-loosening and spring washer anti-loosening.The loosening of the threaded connection under the action of transverse vibration or impact is in fact the rolling motion between the internal and external threaded parts. Therefore, the primary technical problem that the anti-loosening of threaded connection needs to solve is to determine the structure and method of threaded connection to effectively prevent the relative lateral motion and limit the space that the threaded part do rolling motion between the internal and external threaded parts. When the structure of the threaded connection cannot effectively limit the space that the threaded part do rolling motion between the internal and external threaded parts, increasing the anti-loosening friction force is not effective. For the anti-loosening performance test of threaded connection,a reasonable test method should be selected and designed according to the structure and anti-loosening principle of the threaded connection.
