Application of High Pressure PICC Catheter in Abdominal CT Enhancement of Tumor Patients
Objective To analyze the application of high-pressure resistant peripherally inserted central venous catheter(PICC)in abdominal CT enhancement of tumor patients. Methods 300 tumor patients who underwent abdominal CT enhanced scanning in our hospital from January 2021 to June 2023 were randomly selected and divided into groups with the same number of cases according to the principle of random number table allocation.Among them,100 patients in the control group received con-ventional intravenous indwelling needle and contrast agent injection;Observation group 1(n=100)and observation group 2(n=100)were both injected with contrast agent using high-pressure PICC catheters.According to the reference dose in the contrast agent manual,as well as the actual characteristics of the patient and hospital use,the contrast agent dosage was set to 1.3 and 1.1 mL/kg,respectively;Compare the complications and image quality of three groups of CT enhanced scans. Results In terms of the over-all incidence of adverse events during enhanced scanning, the observation groups 1 and 2 were significantly lower than the control group(P<0.05),while there was no significant difference between the 1 and 2 groups(P>0.05).The time from entering the exami-nation room to CT scanning, the time from CT scanning to no bleeding during pressing, and the overall time consumption of Group 1 and Group 2 were observed to be shorter than those of the control group. The image quality, noise, and sharpness scores were higher than those of the control group(P<0.05),while there was no significant difference between Group 1 and Group 2(P>0.05).Three groups of patients did not show any damage or blockage of the catheter due to high-pressure injection after CT enhanced scanning. The dosage of contrast agent in observation group 2 was lower than that in observation group 1 and control group(P<0.05).Conclusion The use of high-pressure PICC catheters combined with low contrast agent injection for abdominal CT enhance-ment in tumor patients optimizes the examination process, improves patient comfort, and reduces the occurrence of adverse events, which is worthy of clinical promotion.
