Based on AGREEII,the quality evaluation of TCM treatment guidelines for depression and syndrome differentiation of zang-fu organs were studied
Objective To objectively evaluate the efficacy and safety of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)in the treatment of depression, and to explore the application of TCM zangfu syndrome differentiation theory in depression. Methods The quality of CPGS/consensus methodology was evaluated by the guidebook research and evaluation tool(AGREEII),and the recommendations and evidence intensity were systematically combed from the aspects of traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)approach and syndrome differentiation for depression. Results With a total of 5(CPGS/Consensus)included,the AGREEII standardized average score across all areas was 77.8%(scope and purpose),45.8%(participants),42.9%(rigor),61.1%(clarity),30.8%(application)and 52.8%(editorial independence). Conclusion The overall quality of CPGS/Consensus in the treatment of depression in Chi-nese medicine(CPGS/Consensus)is low,and the participants, rigor of development, application, and editorial independence need to be improved. The guidelines are comprehensive in their approach to diagnosis and treatment, but lack evidence to support them.
