Study on the effect of digital scanning combined with 3D printing technology on the three-dimensional position of differ-ent inter-implant distances
Objective To study the accuracy of intraoral scanner combined with 3D printing technology on the three-dimen-sional position of implants for preparing two unit implant models. Methods Firstly, two implant analogs were implanted into three dentition loss resin models. The distance between the midpoint of the analogs was required to be 10mm,20mm and 30mm respec-tively,which was taken as the true value of this experiment. Then two groups were divided:In the control group, the silicone rubber impression was taken by the open tray splinted impression technique, and the working model was obtained by super anhydrite pouring. The experimental group used intraoral scanner combined with 3D printer to obtain the working model. Then the Geomagic Quality 2013 was used for the comparative study on accuracy. Results Compared with the test value of 100 μm,when the inter-implant distance was 10mm,20mm respectively, the fitting deviation value of implant trueness tests in the control group and the ex-perimental group were lower than the test value. In the precision experiments, the inter-implant distance of 10mm was significantly better than the fitting deviation value measured when the inter-implant distance was 30mm.Conclusion When the inter-implant distance is within 20mm,the accuracy of traditional impression technology and digital technology meet the clinical requirements.Under the condition of the same inter-implant distance, the accuracy of traditional impression technology is higher than that of digital technology.
