This paper summarized the control technology of red-necked longhorn beetles, focused on expounding the physical control, chemical control and biological control of the pests, and finally proposed the IPM of Aromia bungii dominated by physical control and supplemented by bio-control. The main steps were described as follows:Firstly, the trunks or branches were bound up with film. At the same time, a few of the hosts were not handled to allure the female of the beetles to lay eggs, and then the eggs or the young larvae were destroyed. After that, the parasitoid Sclerodermus guani were released to control the larvae in August or September. Finally, in the spring of the second year, the parasitoid Dastarcus helophoroides were released to control the pupa of the longhorn beetles, or the nematodes were injected to control the larvae. The population of the beetles could be controlled to an obviously lower level after two years by this way.
