Identification of leaf margin blight pathogen on lotus and its fungicide screening
[Objective]In recent years, leaf margin blight of lotus has occurred frequently in Jiangxi Province, causing a serious negative impact on the yield and quality of lotus seeds. This study was conducted to identify the pathogen causing leaf margin blight of lotus and screen fungicides for the disease prevention and control.[Method]This study identified the pathogen by using morphology, molecular biology and Koch's rule, combined with the morphology and sequence analysis of ITS,TEF1-α and β-tubulin.[Result]It was determined that the isolated strain was Nelumbo parvum. The mycelia growth rate method was used to determine the indoor toxicity of six fungicides to the pathogen. And the chemical agents suitable for the prevention and control of the disease were screened.Among six fungicides,45%prochloraz,50%carbendazim wettable powder and 40%difenoconazole had the most obvious inhibitory effects, and the EC50 were 0.010,0.050 and 0.025 μg/mL,respectively.[Conclusion]The three fungicides of 45%prochloraz,50%carbendazim wettable powder and 40%difenoconazole had better bactericidal effect on Nelumbo parvum.
