Analysis of the trapping effect of different trapping methods on tea garden pests
[Objective]Guangxi is one of the main tea producing areas in China.During its growth process,it is susceptible to pests such as Empoasca pirisuga Matumura and tea caterpillars, causing direct economic losses to the quality and yield of tea.As people pay more and more attention to the quality and safety of tea,it is particularly important to effectively use green prevention and control technologies to gradually replace chemical pesticides in pest control.[Method]Three different trapping methods, including the experimental boat type, light source, and yellow board, were used to trap common pests in tea gardens in Nanning, and the trapping results were compared and analyzed.[Result]The trapping effects on tea garden moth pests were as follows:light source trapping method>boat shaped trapping method>yellow board trapping method. The trapping effects of small green leafhoppers in tea gardens were:boat shaped trapping method>yellow board trapping method>light source trapping method. The trapping effects on tea garden bees were:yellow board trapping method>boat shaped trapping method>light source trapping method. The trapping effects on ladybugs in tea gardens were:yellow board trapping method>boat shaped trapping method>light source trapping method.[Conclusion]From September to early October, the incidence of moths and Empoasca pirisuga Matumura in tea gardens is relatively high, while the incidence of natural enemies is relatively low.It is recommended to use light source traps to reduce the occurrence of moths, and use boat shaped traps and yellow boards to trap Empoasca pirisuga Matumura.During the period from October to late November, the number of tea garden pests and natural enemy insects reaches the maximum. While trapping and killing pests, attention should be paid to protect natural enemy insects.Using boat shaped traps combined with tea garden pest pheromone traps can improve the effectiveness of attracting tea garden pests while reducing damage to natural enemy and neutral insects. At the end of November to December, the number of insect species in tea gardens has changed, and the proportion of Empoasca pirisuga Matumura in tea gardens begin to decrease. However, there were more natural enemy insects. The use of boat shaped trapping method has better trapping effects on tea garden pests than that of yellow boards, and is also more friendly to some beneficial insects.By selecting different trapping methods at different time periods,we aim to optimize the green prevention and control of pests in tea gardens, provide theoretical basis for protecting the ecological environment, and support the tea industry in promoting rural revitalization and sustainable development.
