Development and analysis of the maximum pesticide residue limit indicators for bulb and onion vegetables in China
[Objective]This study was conducted to understand the current situation and development of the formulation of relevant indicators for bulb and onion vegetables in GB 2763 National Food Safety Standard for Maximum Residue Limits of Pesticides in Food, providing references for the formulation of pesticide limit indicators for bulb and onion vegetables comprehensively.[Method]The maximum residue limits(MRLs)of pesticides and their daily allowable intake(ADI),detection methods, etc.for bulb and onion vegetables were sorted and analyzed based on the relevant data of bulb and onion vegetables in the national food safety standard GB 2763,combined with the data from China Pesticide Information Network.[Result]The MRLs of bulb onion vegetables involved 246 limit items for 180 pesticides in GB 2763,with group limits being the majority;this type of vegetable underwent significant revisions to the ADI for MRL pesticides, with some pesticides having undergone two revisions;fewer pesticides were revised by MRL;the development of MRLs was seriously disconnected from pesticide registration, and there was no relevant testing methods and data for pesticide additives in the standards after nearly 20 years of development.[Conclusion]The MRLs for this type of vegetable should be supplemented, improved, and refined,so as to promote the introduction of uniform standards for this type of vegetable, and strengthen the research on testing methods for this type of vegetable to help improve its quality and safety level.
