In order to investigate the characteristics of fatigue failure of high-precision titanium alloy bolts after rolling strengthening for root fillet, the measurement and analysis of fatigue failure fractures were carried out.The characteristics of the rolling strengthening techniques of bolt root fillet were analyzed. The influence of various surface processing techniques for rolling bolts was compared, and the features of appearance as well as fracture of bolts were studied from macroscopic and microscopic views. The crack source characteristics of aluminum-coated bolts were discussed. The research results show that the fatigue fracture of root fillet of bolts after rolling exhibits significant ductile fracture characteristics, and aluminum coating, shot peening or polishing process can enhance the equiaxed dimple characteristics of the fracture, which confirms the domination of ductile fracture.Meanwhile, the study also reveals the interfacial peeling characteristics of aluminum coating.
