Introduces an improved fixed frequency test method of bolted joint structures. The nonlinear vibration characteristics of the benchmark of Brake-Reuß beams are tested and studied, the nonlinear relationship between excitation and response at each frequency is accurately measured, the curves of the nonlinear amplitude and phase characteristic under constant forces are reconstructed, and the evolution of nonlinear vibration responses under the different excitation levels and different tightening torques is analyzed. The improved method, simple and fast with no need of feedback control, can overcome the measurement error caused by the force drop-out in the swept frequency test and measure nonlinear vibration accurately, which provides effective reference data for the modeling and simulation of fastnonlinear structures and is of help to understand the nonlinear vibration characteristics of the structure.
