Defect Detection of Transmission Line Tensile Clamps Based on X-ray Non-destructive Inspection
To improve the poor image clarity, low error detection and workload reduction rates in detecting the defects of strain clamp of transmission line by current method,a new method for detecting the defects of the tension clamp of transmission lines based on X-ray non-destructive testing is proposed. The X-ray non-destructive testing technology is used to obtain the image of the tension clamp of the transmission line, which is enhanced by combining the Retinex image enhancement algorithm with the empirical mode decomposition method. In order to eliminate the effect of X-ray strength on testing results, the image of tension clamp is processed by the adaptive on-state filtering method, the edge of the image is gained with the edge extraction method of Canny operator, the largest connected domain is obtained on the basis of morphological calculation, and the length-to-width ratio of connected domain and circularity are treated as the defect features to complete the detection of the strain clamp defect of the transmission line. The experimental results show that the proposed method has good image clarity, high error detection and workload reduction rates.
