Numerical Simulation of Snow Formation in Bogie Area of High-speed Train
When high-speed train runs in cold rain and snow area, its bogie area is easy to form snow, whose particles rising upward from the ground threaten the train safety. Therefore,a wind-induced snow particle motion model based on wall shear stress was built for the study of snow particle motion in the ground snow under the effect of train wind. The Euler-Lagrange method was adoted to establish a snow deposition boundary model based on snow deposition criteria, and the resech on the bogie area snow distribution under wind-induced snow particle motion condition was conducted. The results show that the high-speed airflow rises upward at high speed in the area right below the bogie,of which the plate, frame and axle box are the main snow-covered parts, and the amount of snow deposition in the bogie area is related to the location of the bogie, the density and diameter of snow particles and the wall conditions.
